We have very little income right now, and I noticed the other day that my children's winter coats and sneakers are about shot.

Out of the blue, my daughter brings home a slip from school offering a brand new winter coat for her and her brother from the local kiwanis club. I can't imagine where they got their names from (hmm, do their clothes look that tatttered? LOL), but I am quite sure the Almighty had something to do with it.

Thank you Lord, for knowing what we need in this life and providing it for us.

Another praise report....

I do surveys to make a few dollars here and there (they're usually a dollar or two, but they add up after a while). A couple of weeks ago I got picked from one of my regular survey companies to do an online focus group for $100 ! Yeah! I did the group this week, and it was really easy to do.

This will help pay a bill!

Oh, and one more....lol...

Ebay had one of their "daily deals" the other day....disney pajamas for $5 plus free shipping. I bought a pair for each of my children to tuck away for Christmas.

Later that day, I got an email from disney saying that one of the pajamas was out of stock and that they'd like to give me a $10 credit to their online store (no minimum purchase)! I'll definitely take that $10 freebie any day over the pajamas!

Yeah, Thank You Lord!

Down to my last dollar and I desperately need a few things at the store. My gas tank is on empty. I've sold practically nothing on Ebay this past week, plus they had a website-wide outage on Saturday.

Today, my $100 check came in the mail for the Online Focus Group I did.

I wanted to add a few more things to my praise report that have happened recently.

1. My previous employer called to ask if I wanted to come back part time. I've been struggling financially since I left there, so I jumped at the chance. It's not much, 15 hours a week, but at least it's a check I can count on every two weeks.

2. My best friend has a friend that has given my daughter some hand-me-downs through the years. When she found out that things were tight with us this Christmas, she bought two giant bags of things for the kids. I've never even met this gal, and she bought about 15 things for each of my children!

3. Right before Christmas, I was grocery shopping with my children when this woman stopped me in the store. She told me that she was my son's guidance counselor and that there was a $50 walmart gift card waiting for me at the school office. We had been picked for a secret santa program, the same program that gave my children their coats.

The coolest thing about the gift card (and the coats the kids got), was that I really don't know anyone connected to the school who knows the extent to which we are struggling, so I can see God's hand working all that much more.

We are still barely making it financially, but it seems like everytime I get discouraged about it, something from God pops up to remind me that He's got it in control.

Today I came home, down to my last dollar again, and there was a $25 gift card inside of a Christmas card in my mailbox. Postmarked in a nearby city, but no return address and no signature on the card. From an angel perhaps?

Hi Lauren.From personal experience and again from reading yours and others blessings is the reason I don't have stress week anymore.I don't worry about bills or needs because God always provides.I have yet to see Him not provide and you are also proof of that.Praise the Lord,Love Ruthanne
