Bible when someone causes a woman to lose her unborn baby

I didn't realize there was anything in the bible about this specifically, but when I was reading today, I came to this:

Exodus 21:22-25 “If men who are fighting hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows. But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.

so if someone causes a woman to give birth prematurely but the baby is OK, then there is no fault; but if her baby dies, then God says "you are to take life for life". That pretty clearly indicates to me that God considers life to start at conception! (I always thought He did, but like I said, I didn't realize there was anything specifically about it in His Word.)

I didn't realize this either. I'm sure I've read this before but didn't connect the dots.

me too Brad lol; it was kind of neat reading that chapter and the one before and after today as it showed me yet again how involved God is in our lives and how He expects us to be responsible for our own actions, even accidental ones. Very unlike our world today where when we have an accident we sue someone else instead of taking responsibility for ourselves!
